What you'll do:

  • Manage email and retention marketing programs for multiple online brands at a time from start-to-finish
  • Communicate directly with clients via email, Slack, and phone, becoming an extension of their team
  • Create strategy and promotional calendars for the email and related channels
  • Write email copy and briefs for our design team
  • Work closely with Strategists, Project Managers, and Designers on our internal team to turn client vision into deliverables
  • Track everything in our project management software and make sure all campaigns and projects get done on time and 100% error-free
  • Build email campaigns, sequences, and segments in Klaviyo and other enterprise-level email software including Shopify, Justuno, Swell Rewards, Postscript, Attentive, Yotpo, Bronto, and more
  • Experiment and learn new enterprise software and create new processes when opportunities arise 

We're looking for someone who has:

  • You must have great attention to detail and amazing communication skills
  • You must have experience working in a remote team

We’re looking for a writer to join our team part-time (20h/week) to create and manage content for academics, students and researchers helping them navigate the academic jungle. You can check out what we write about in our Research and Writing Guides and our Paperpile and BibGuru blogs.

Our user-base is growing fast, and so is the team around it.

  • As part of a small content team everything you do matters. You only work on stuff that has a direct big impact on the growth of our products.

Your role

  • Suggest and create appealing content for all our channels (videos, blog posts, citation guides, social media, newsletters,..) targeting our audience
  • Communicate with our editors, writers and designers on a regular basis to plan, create and maintain content
  • Review and edit drafts of content from other writers and editors
  • Create SEO optimized content, measure the success and adjust and improve content if necessary to help it rank better

Requirements

  • A university degree (any background is welcome as our product is for academics from all fields)
  • Excellent written and verbal skills
  • 3+ years of experience in content writing, ideally in SaaS or academic environments, with a proven record of content that had a measurable impact
  • An understanding of SEO best practices and ability to create SEO optimized content
  • Ability to work autonomously in a startup environment and with a distributed team
  • Native English speakers are preferred, but your application will also be considered if you have studied in English (any degree that was fully taught in English) and can demonstrate outstanding English skills
  • Optional: Experience in video content marketing or video production (Screenflow, AfterEffects)

The person in this role will work with a team based in the US, Australia, UK and France.

The person in this role will safeguard information by highlighting risks, assessing the criticality of those risks and ensuring that they are accurately reported. The System Security Administrator is a leader within the organization as to providing an advisory service role and acting as a focal point for security and compliance-related activities and responsibilities. This position will play a key role in managing the company’s security posture, developing IT security policies, and forming controls over the company’s information.

In this position, we are looking for someone who can work both with the technical side of our environments as well as the policy side.

Responsibilities

  • Work closely with Strategists, Project Managers, and Designers on our internal team to turn client vision into deliverables
  • Track everything in our project management software and make sure all campaigns and projects get done on time and 100% error-free
  • Build email campaigns, sequences, and segments in Klaviyo and other enterprise-level email software including Shopify, Justuno, Swell Rewards, Postscript, Attentive, Yotpo, Bronto, and more
  • Experiment and learn new enterprise software and create new processes when opportunities arise 

We're looking for someone who has:

  • Experience with direct response copywriting for ecommerce, including emails, product descriptions, Facebook ads, social media, etc. (writing samples of past work required)
  • Experience with email marketing including software like Klaviyo, Bronto, Dotmailer, Braze, Salesforce, Attentive, Postscript, and other enterprise-level email and ecommerce software
  • Experience with ecommerce, experience with email for ecommerce is even better
  • Great time and project management skills; deadline-oriented with experience getting projects done quickly, with very high quality standards
  • You must have great attention to detail and amazing communication skills
  • You must have experience working in a remote team
